She takes a more down-to-earth view, however, saying they have nothing to do with the \u201cinborn skills\u201d that people believe she possesses. \u201cGood parenting and my own curiosity led me to explore different aspects. Developing my skills came from practice,\u201d she states, in an interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.globalindian.com\/youth\/\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Global Indian<\/em><\/a>. She did, however, show prodigious capabilities, even as a baby. \u201cAt the age of one-and-a-half, my vocabulary consisted of 500 English words.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<h5 class=\"x_paragraph\"><span class=\"x_normaltextrun\"><b>The dream that came true<\/b><\/span><span class=\"x_eop\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h5>\n<p class=\"x_paragraph\"><span class=\"x_normaltextrun\">Growing up, she learned of her father\u2019s struggles to find a job. A highly erudite man \u2013 a double MA and an MPhil, which he possessed, made him stand out in the small town he called home. Still, work was never easy to come by, especially in Delhi-NCR, \u201cas his communication skills in the English language weren\u2019t so good, despite him knowing the subject,\u201d Janhavi explains.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_paragraph\"><span class=\"x_normaltextrun\">Deeply let down by the rejections, he made up his mind that his own children wouldn\u2019t suffer like him. He started working on developing my English skills, right from the beginning, making sure that I converse in no other language with him,\u201d she says.<\/span><span class=\"x_eop\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h5 class=\"x_paragraph\"><span class=\"x_normaltextrun\"><b>Skilling up<\/b><\/span><span class=\"x_eop\">\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/h5>\n<p class=\"x_paragraph\"><span class=\"x_normaltextrun\">\u201cYouTube has played\u00a0a big role\u00a0in helping me master the accents,\u201d she remarks.\u00a0\u201cI\u00a0am\u00a0studying phonetic transcriptions now\u00a0in my\u00a0master&#8217;s but have\u00a0learned and practiced accents through phonetics\u00a0transcriptions\u00a0a long time ago,\u201d says the former student of Asha Deep Senior Secondary School. The \u2018wonder girl\u2019, who graduated with an undergraduate degree in English literature from DU, is about to finish her master&#8217;s from Kurukshetra University. \u201cI enjoyed my time as a DU student, organising elections and being the Delhi University Student Union (DUSU) spokesperson. I did want to do a master\u2019s in the UK but the pandemic messed up my plans,\u201d she says. <\/span><\/p>\n<h5 class=\"x_paragraph\"><span class=\"x_normaltextrun\"><b>Getting into the crux\u202f<\/b><\/span><span class=\"x_eop\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h5>\n<p class=\"x_paragraph\"><span class=\"x_normaltextrun\">Janhavi tends to immerse herself completely into anything she sets heart on to achieve. These days, she spends her time in the library but her perfectionist streak has always been with her. Growing up, she would spend hours as a six-year-old watching YouTube videos and English news channels. She would work constantly on polishing her accents, refusing to go to bed until she got them right. I can enter a flashback and recall the details.\u201d No wonder, then, that the prodigy appeared for her class 10 board exams when she was 11!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h5 class=\"x_paragraph\"><span class=\"x_normaltextrun\">\u202f<\/span><span class=\"x_normaltextrun\"><b>The milestones\u2026<\/b><\/span><span class=\"x_eop\">\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/h5>\n<p class=\"x_paragraph\"><span class=\"x_normaltextrun\">Now at 18, Janhavi is set to finish her master\u2019s progamme in English literature and is a sought-after motivational speaker who has conducted numerous sessions over the last five years. She had given her first motivational speech at the Bombay Institute of Public Administration to an audience of 150 IAS officers.\u202f<\/span><span class=\"x_eop\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_paragraph\"><span class=\"x_normaltextrun\">Janhavi finds non-STEM subjects her true calling, even when at the age of 10 she was not only a student of class 10 but also helping her classmates with their science lessons. \u201cTo appear in the board examinations at that age became possible after a meeting with the then CM of Haryana, Bhupinder Singh Hooda who after talking to me for more than an hour permitted me to appear for the exams under the Haryana State Board of School Education.\u201d Due to her ability to grasp quickly, she has completed two classes in a single year finishing the syllabus of each class in six months flat.<\/span><span class=\"x_eop\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_16895\" style=\"width: 788px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-16895\" class=\"wp-image-16895 lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.globalindian.com\/youth\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/janhavi_amrita_global-indian4.jpg\" alt=\"Prodigy | Wonder Girl | Janhavi Panwar | Global Indian\" width=\"778\" height=\"583\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 778px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 778\/583;\" \/><noscript><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-16895\" class=\"wp-image-16895\" src=\"https:\/\/www.globalindian.com\/youth\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/janhavi_amrita_global-indian4.jpg\" alt=\"Prodigy | Wonder Girl | Janhavi Panwar | Global Indian\" width=\"778\" height=\"583\" \/><\/noscript><p id=\"caption-attachment-16895\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em>Janhavi being honoured by Governor of Haryana and Punjab<\/em><\/p><\/div>\n<p class=\"x_paragraph\"><span class=\"x_normaltextrun\">Even when she took her standard 12 board exams in humanities, Janhavi finished her study of non-medical science syllabus out of love for garnering additional knowledge.<\/span><span class=\"x_eop\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h5 class=\"x_paragraph\">\u00a0<span class=\"x_normaltextrun\"><b>Active in motivating<\/b><\/span><span class=\"x_eop\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h5>\n<p class=\"x_paragraph\"><span class=\"x_normaltextrun\">The avid reader of autobiographies, books on the conscious mind, and spirituality started getting recognized for\u00a0her\u00a0insights at the age of 13, receiving invitations for giving motivational speeches, and for conducting sessions and seminars. \u201cI have trained staff of MNCs in metros, and government institutions\u00a0apart from students of several educational institutions,\u201d she informs.<\/span><span class=\"x_eop\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_paragraph\"><span class=\"x_normaltextrun\">The youngster, who once wanted to be an anchor, was invited to BBC\u2019s Delhi office for an interview. \u201cThe anchor said, \u2018if you want to join BBC, the door is open for you\u2019,\u201d smiles the\u00a0wonder girl, remarking \u201cNow I want to take up entrepreneurship in the training space, once I finish my Ph.D. in English literature.\u201d\u202f<\/span><span class=\"x_eop\">\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"x_eop\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"How can critics help you. | Janhavi Panwar | TEDxBkbiet\" width=\"1080\" height=\"608\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/J9Dyuv-TpDM?feature=oembed\"  allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" class=\"lazyload\" data-load-mode=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_paragraph\"><span class=\"x_normaltextrun\">With too much on her plate at the moment, she plans to write a book sometime in the future. Through her YouTube channel, which has eight lakh subscribers, she has been on a spree of creating motivational videos for people\u00a0so that they\u00a0touch the highs of their lives and combat their lows\u00a0successfully. \u201cMy curiosity keeps me going.\u00a0Waking up and doing something new\u00a0each day keeps me ticking.\u201d<\/span><span class=\"x_eop\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_paragraph\"><span class=\"x_normaltextrun\">\u201cWhen I am with friends and relatives, I am a different person altogether.
